Support — VILOTV

ViloTV is a media player for Apple TV. It plays your own IPTV lists, SMB / WebDAV storage and video URLs. The app does not provide any content.

The app’s interface is in Simplified Chinese. The steps below give the on-screen labels in brackets.

Getting started

IPTV: on the home screen, select the “Add Source” card (添加源), enter an M3U or TXT channel list URL and press OK (确定). You can also get there from Settings (设置) → Sources (内容源) → Add Source (添加源). An IPTV source appears on the home grid; pick a channel by group, and press up/down to switch channels while watching.
Play a URL: on the same “Add Source” screen, enter a video URL (mp4, m3u8, mkv, …) to play it directly.
NAS (SMB): Settings (设置) → Sources (内容源) → Add Network Storage (添加网络存储), pick a server found on your network or type its IP, then enter an account (or use guest access).
WebDAV: same as above, with an address starting with http:// or https://, e.g. http://192.168.1.5:5005.
When entering addresses or passwords, you can scan the QR code on screen and type on your phone.

Can’t connect to the NAS: make sure the Apple TV and the NAS are on the same network, and SMB (SMB2 / SMB3) or WebDAV is enabled on the NAS.
WebDAV says the certificate is not trusted: self-signed certificates are not supported yet; use an http:// address on your local network.
WebDAV says Basic authentication is off: enable Basic authentication on the server.
A format won’t play: mp4 / mov / m3u8 use the system player; mkv, avi, ts and others use the built-in playback engine; ISO is not supported.
